I have the postgame to write up here…I have had three Mt Dews since the game begain, I am hyped up over the win and with DST starting it is technically 1:30 AM. Rough day tomorrow that is for sure.
Oh, that is right. We are going to save tons of energy with this new DST. Who says this country doesn’t have an energy policy, lol. I better go change all the clocks.
Congrats heels fans and THF. You got the win and a poster dunk over the most hated duke player. I don’t think anything could be sweeter for you guys right now. Congratulations and hope to see ya next Sunday.
Carolina finishes up with its most wins ever in the regular season and its best regular season mark overall since 1957. For Roy Williams, it is his second best regular season mark overall, trailing only his 1997 Jawkawks who finished the regular season with only one loss.
Assigned to assemble the scouting report for the Duke game, assistant coach Steve Robinson suggested to coach Roy Williams the Heels might want to consider switching on all of the Blue Devils’ screens. So when 6-8 forward Kyle Singler set a pick for Paulus, defenders assigned to those players changed assignments — even though that frequently meant Hansbrough having to deal with Paulus on the perimeter and Heels point guard Ty Lawson coping with a bigger player.
“We did not want to play them the same way we played them the first time,” Williams said. “They got so many open threes. They’d turn the corner, and we’d try to help, and they’d attack the big guy and got to the line. It was so many different things.”
What a sweet, sweet win! This team has the mental tenacity to go all the way, and has been tested in all kinds of ways. Going into Cameron and winning under tough conditions, to start with, with the death of Eve Carson hovering in the background. Honey, this one was for you!
I must have smoked half a pack of cigarette’s in the second half! What a finish, and a game. Q hitting that three almost made my dogs have a hear attack. The traveling call on Marcus under the basket almost resulted in my beer being thrown through the TV! I want to make a screen saver out of Danny’s dunk.
Great finish the regular season, and the undefeated road schedule is something to be proud of for sure.
Gotta love the cover picture for this article, not sure but I think I see the look of resignation on the dookie fans faces or it maybe recognition that their little “flash in the pan”dance with true hoop greatness is over ,now history and the heels march on.

Considering he started his fall before Green made contact, yes. Yes it is.
March 9, 2008 at 12:22 am |
Now I see where Paulus got his black eye.

Let’s not get “testy.”

Thanks JMOHN and I appreciate the classy drop-in.

O.K. I got all the clocks set. I think a nicer name for Green’s type of dunk would be a “Lipton special.”

Danny Green had 7 blocked shots.

Carolina is 4-0 in Cameron when ranked number one in the nation.

Is that Peyton Manning just to the left of Singler’s mid section?
March 10, 2008 at 12:47 pm |
Yes, that is Manning.
