The USA Today/ESPN coaches poll was released for the upcoming season and UNC is ranked #1. Of course they are only five points ahead of UCLA and eight points ahead of Memphis but all that means is this should be a fun season to watch.

As for ACC representation, Duke is #11 and NC State is #24. Clemson received 56 votes putting them at #29, Virginia had seven votes and Maryland had one.

In terms of UNC’s schedule, potential opponent Louisville is #6 and Kentucky is #22. Ohio State is presently just outside the Top 25 at #28.

    I sure hope they know what they are talking about! Duke seems to be regarded higher than I thought they would be as well. USC was picked lower than I thought they would be. I expected with a upper class like Clemson has, for them to be ranked in the top 25. I sure would have liked to had 4 schools in it. We’ll take it!!
